Data handling
Privacy policy
Effective date: 15 October 2026 · Maintainer: Yuval Maizel
This policy describes the personal Zoom Drive Lesson desktop utility and this informational website. The utility runs on the operator’s computer; this website does not run the automation or receive lesson recordings.
Data used by the utility
- The configured Zoom recording title, meeting identifier when available, recording dates and selected video file.
- Google OAuth credentials used to authorize the operator’s Drive account.
- Drive file identifiers, links, size, checksum and sharing metadata needed to manage and verify uploads.
- A locally configured recipient phone number and message template used to prepare a WhatsApp draft.
Google Drive access and purpose
The utility requests the drive.file permission to create files and access Drive files available to this application. It uploads the selected lesson video, checks file metadata, manages configured link-sharing permissions and retrieves a shareable link. Account data and recordings are used only for this recording-transfer workflow.
Zoom Drive Lesson’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Where data is stored
OAuth credentials, Zoom browser-session data, configuration and upload-state records are stored locally on the operator’s computer. The selected video is temporarily downloaded there and uploaded to the authorized Google Drive account. This informational website does not receive or store those credentials, session data, configuration or videos.
Sharing and third-party services
The utility connects to Zoom and Google Drive to retrieve and store the selected recording. It applies the link-sharing permission chosen by the operator; in the configured workflow, anyone who has the Drive link can edit the file. The operator is responsible for choosing an appropriate sharing setting and ensuring permission to share the recording.
When the prepared WhatsApp link is opened, the recipient number, draft text and Drive link are passed to WhatsApp. The utility does not automatically send the message and does not upload the video itself to WhatsApp. Zoom, Google and WhatsApp handle data under their own applicable policies.
The utility does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use recordings or Google user data to train AI models. It does not provide a central recording database or third-party access to local credentials.
Retention and deletion
The local video copy created by the utility is deleted after successful upload and sharing verification. A video may remain locally if an operation fails or the operating system prevents deletion. The operator can inspect and remove remaining local files.
The Drive copy remains until the operator deletes it. Local credentials, configuration, upload-state records and prepared messages remain on the operator’s computer until removed. These files should not be distributed with troubleshooting materials.
Control and revocation
The operator may stop running the utility at any time, revoke its Google authorization through Google Account connections, remove locally stored credentials and browser-session data, and delete uploaded files or change their sharing permissions in Drive.
